Winter 2025 — Holidays

We worked this year with our sleeves rolled and our eyes open.
The world was loud with claims and probably a little thin on truth, but we kept going.
Facts still mattered to us. Work still mattered. People did too.
I met people this year who build futures the way others build fences.
After that, the counterfactuals feel less hypothetical.
Things that were supposed to stay impossible did not.
Our achievements this year. Most of us never believed we’d be here, only a few months ago.
We fought the good fight together.
Quietly. Relentlessly.
As people-first visionaries, who communicate with intent, and try to always do what’s right even when it’s hard; who know that the grass is never about where you stand, only about what you grow.
Good neighbors grow green grass.
Better neighbors help others grow theirs.
That is the right of every human story: to be a Neighbor, not a bystander.
We do not help those who poison their fields and refuse to tend them.
We help them learn how to become someone else’s neighbor.
That is not charity. It is responsibility.
And it works.
Darrowers see farther than the fence line.
They care for people they will never meet.
They believe distant grass should be greener too.
Cleaner air.
Safer communities.
Protected data.
Fair businesses.
Safeguarded savings.
Wages that honor work.
This is the calling we chose.
It’s the time of year when the light returns.
After December 21, the days grow longer.
The sun comes back, slowly, honestly.
It melts what froze in the long winter.
It lets the grass grow green again.
Let others’ grass be greener.
Ours already is, because we earned it. And we even had fun doing it.
Happy holidays, team.
